Precautions for Operating the Quarry Wire Saw Machine

Operating a Quarry Wire Saw Machine requires both experience and precision. Improper or unskilled operation may lead to issues such as wire slippage, short wire length, or unnecessary wear of the diamond wire.
Proper operation and regular maintenance not only improve cutting efficiency but also extend the service life of the machine.
Below are the important precautions to follow during operation.

1. Ensure Power Safety Before Operation

Before turning on the main power of the wire saw machine, make sure the external power supply is completely switched off to prevent electrical hazards.

2. Safe Adjustment of the Driving Flywheel

When adjusting the left-right position or direction of the driving flywheel:

Always check that there are no obstacles nearby.

Stop immediately when reaching the travel limit to avoid damaging the lead screw or burning the motor winding.
⚠️ Never rotate the flywheel beyond the vertical position, as this may twist or break the main motor cable.

3. Maintain Proper Cooling Water Supply

During cutting, always ensure a continuous and sufficient flow of cooling water.
If the water supply becomes inadequate, stop cutting immediately to prevent damage to the diamond wire.

4. Do Not Operate Under Power Fault Conditions

Never perform cutting operations when the power supply is missing a phase or is unstable.

5. Follow the Correct Cutting Sequence

When cutting the separation body, follow the rule of "horizontal cut first, vertical cut later."
Insert support wedges into the finished cuts to prevent rock blocks from falling and damaging the wire.
If necessary, wedges may also be inserted into vertical cuts to support the separation body.

6. Avoid Adjusting Flywheel During Cutting

Do not adjust the driving flywheel position while the machine is in cutting operation, and vice versa - cutting should not be performed during adjustment.

7. Stop Operation in Harsh Weather

In the event of thunderstorms, heavy rain, or other severe weather, stop all cutting work immediately.
Turn off all switches and, if possible, move the equipment to a safe location to prevent accidents.

8. Power Off After Operation

After cutting or before leaving the site, always switch off the main power and all related switches to ensure safety.

9. Stop Immediately if Machine Housing Is Electrified

If the machine's outer casing is found to be charged, stop operation immediately and inspect the system.
Restart only after the fault has been completely resolved.

10. Regularly Inspect Electrical Connections

Inspect all electrical wiring, terminals, and connectors regularly.
Take immediate action if any issues are found to ensure safe and stable machine operation.

11. Emergency Stop Usage

In case of any emergency, press the "Emergency Stop" button on the control panel at once.
Only after ensuring safety may the button be reset and the machine restarted.

12. Do Not Modify Frequency Converter Settings

Non-professional personnel are strictly prohibited from altering the inverter (VFD) parameters, as doing so may cause malfunction or affect machine performance.
